Reporting to Medical Affairs, the Department of Medicine Team Project Associate is responsible for providing team office administrative support, supporting project delivery, and project management of low to medium complexity projects from design and implementation through to evaluation and close-out, facilitate project and department and program-level reporting, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure outcomes are successfully achieved. The role is a key contact for the department as well as a communication point for various projects, processes and support.

Qualifications

 
  • Successful completion of a two (2) year diploma in Office Administration, Business or acceptable to hospital
  • Minimum three (3) years related secretarial or office experience at a senior level, preferably in a health care setting
  • Project Management Certificate - Preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including Power Point, Excel, Word and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient project management skills - ability to prioritize fluctuating workload demands, balance resources across multiple projects
  • Facilitation skills including consensus building and problem solving
  • Self directed with ability to work independently using above average levels of initiative and discretion
  • Resource planning, measurement, reporting and evaluation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centred care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the LHSC employee core competencies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
  • Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated
