Client Support

 

Client Support Specialists are responsible for troubleshooting first level requests/calls from hospital staff and physicians. Calls are taken either directly by telephone or redirected through a queue for onsite support. They resolve basic technical questions and work on hardware/software/printer/network problems related to individual computer access. Client Support Specialists may also be responsible for monitoring the hospital's Data Centre operations, to ensure availability, performance, security and reliability - Including operating procedures, system backups/restores and system maintenance procedures. Staff may be required to rotate between Help Desk, Inventory Procurement and Data Centre Operation Support.

 

Regular full-time

 

Rate of Pay:               $27.54 per hour - $37.86 per hour

 

Hours of Work:           37.5 hours per week

Qualifications

 
  • High school diploma
  • 2-year college certificate or diploma preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent and relevant experience
  • Experience with working in a warehouse or delivery department
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health care specific computer applications
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills
  • Basic understanding of project management and project leadership
  • Demonstrated proficient problem resolution and troubleshooting skills and aptitude
  • Excellent customer service and interaction skills
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, record keeping, and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated effective communication (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and be resourceful
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
