Summary of Duties:

Assist in developing and implementation of engagement strategy of families receiving Child Care Fee Subsidy, aimed at improving departmental services and operational efficiency.

Work Performed:

  • Survey Design and Development:
    • Develop and design a comprehensive survey to gather meaningful feedback from families benefiting from the Child Care Fee Subsidy, ensuring it is accessible and inclusive to families to meet diverse needs (language, visual, technological, etc.).
    • Ensure the survey covers areas such as service accessibility, quality, responsiveness, and operational efficiency.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the survey is aligned with program goals and departmental objectives.
  • Interested Party Engagement:
    • Coordinate internal teams to ensure that the survey and engagement process addresses the needs of all interested parties.
    • Develop communication materials and outreach strategies to encourage maximum participation from families.
  • Process Setup and Implementation:
    • Plan and set up the end-to-end process for survey administration, including selecting the appropriate survey tools and methods (online, paper, etc.).
    • Develop a clear timeline for survey rollout, completion, and follow-up communication.
    • Engage with appropriate departments to ensure data is collected in a confidential, ethical, and secure manner, in compliance with relevant privacy laws and regulations and City policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Social Sciences that includes primary research.
 

Eligibility under the City of London International Student Graduate Internship Program as follows (see below):

MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Have been an international student that has graduated within the last year from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in Canada, and
  • Currently hold valid Post-Graduate Work Permit to be legally entitled to work in Canada, and
  • Have an English language benchmark of level 6 or above

Experience:

1 year experience in program evaluation.

Experience leading or assisting in a collaborative research project that engaged the public.

Experience using respectful strategies to engage equity deserving populations.

Specialized Training & Licenses:

Familiarity with specific frameworks such as logic models, theory of change, and results-based accountability.

Knowledge of Equity, Diversity and  Inclusion Frameworks.

Strong skills in both types of research methodologies, including survey design, data collection, statistical analysis, and thematic analysis.

Proficiency in software for quantitative and qualitative data analysis and (PowerBI or Excel).

Strong communication skills and an ability to work across a wide range of interested parties both internal and external to the Corporation.

Project management skills.

Compensation & Other Information:

$22.44/hour

This posting is for one (1) temporary full-time up to 20 weeks position.

Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Work Arrangement: On-site. Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.
