CSTAR

Reporting to the Manager, the CSTAR Surgical Suite Assistant works as part of the CSTAR team in the setup, clean up and sterilization of equipment and instruments required for surgical suite events and workshops. The Assistant provides in the moment support to all customers during programs and communicates the needs of the lab to the team to ensure client satisfaction and excellent program delivery.

This position may require to work in the evening hours and/or on weekends.

Rate of Pay:                 $24.70 per hour - $30.87 per hour

Status:                         Regular Part-Time, up to 22 hours per week, no guarantee of hours

Qualifications

 
  • Successful completion of Grade 12 Diploma or recognized equivalent is required

  • Registration by Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians or Registered Laboratory Animal Technician (Preferred)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Computer skills

  • Demonstrated proficient communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evening during course preparation and events

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting 

  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care

  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC

  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values

  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
