Quality and Performance

The Performance Consultant is responsible for the management and ongoing development of LHSC’s performance reporting and measurement system framework as well as the management, preparation, submission, and evaluation of LHSC’s annual Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

The Performance Consultant acts as a subject matter expert in Lean, Six Sigma, statistical analysis, experimental, and process design tools and techniques, supporting organizational leaders as they drive improvements in their programs.

Rate of Pay: $44.33 per hour - $55.41 per hour

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications

 
  • Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Science, Business or Health Administration, or a Health related discipline; Master's Degree preferred
  • Project Management Certification and LEAN/Six Sigma green belt/black belt preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years recent, related job experience
  • Advanced k knowledge and skill working with data related aspects of performance management
  • Knowledge and skill working with data related aspects of performance management
  • Strong k knowledge and skills with application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Knowledge of clinical processes within the hospital setting; experience with a clinical performance measurement system and knowledge of quality improvement aspects of performance measurement

  • Knowledge of applicable and prevailing legislation and their impact on health care
  • Demonstrated understanding and compliance with confidentiality requirements
  • Change leadership skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a working member of a team
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of productivity tools such as MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s vision, purpose, and values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
