Job Summary

The Research Assistant 1 oversees data entry& database management for multiple phase 2 to 4 trials & cancer disease sites, including local (in-house) and global industry (multi-centre) studies; liaise with study personnel, e.g. sponsors/monitors; collaborate with Clinical Research Coordinators, Primary Investigators (PIs), and other staff/centres (e.g. physicians, clinical staff, outside hospitals) to ensure protocol adherence; coordinate and organize trial subject follow-up visits and other required study activities; facilitate sample processing & specimen shipping.

Regular Full Time

Rate of Pay:                    $25.25- 31.56 per hour

Hours of Work:               37.5 hours per week M-F

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a community college diploma in a health related discipline preferred
• Demonstrated computer skills including MS Office applications, Power Chart
• Demonstrated data base entry and clinical trial data management skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice, Health Canada and FDA regulations
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Well developed interpersonal, verbal and written skills for communicating effectively with health care professionals
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centred care 
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
