Transplant Quality Program
The Quality Specialist works collaboratively with leadership and staff to develop and implement quality assurance standards and measures, ensuring regulatory requirements are met, to improve care and service to patients, staff, and other clients. The Quality Specialist will gather and analyze data in support of proposed projects, systems requirements, quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities. In addition, this role produces reports required by the program for performance measurement and quality improvement.
Regular Full-Time
Hours of Work: 37.50 hours per week
Rate of Pay: $46.79 per hour - $58.48 per hour
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a health related field, Master's Degree preferred
- Current certificate of registration in good standing from a college under the Regulated Health Professions Act
- Certification in Quality Management by an accredited institution preferred
- Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years recent, related experience
- Five (5) years of recent, related experience in a transplant program, preferred
- Advanced knowledge of current organ donation and transplantation regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Advanced knowledge of project management, quality improvement and information systems design
- Advanced knowledge and experience with data collection and analysis; Consensus building, conflict resolution, consultation and coaching/mentoring style of leadership
- Knowledge and skill in program development, evaluation and education
- Demonstrated computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and corporate productivity tools
- Proficient facilitation and presentation skills
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with Automated Clinical Systems
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Vision, Purpose, and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
