Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure & Operations, the Coordinator, Data Centre & IT Infrastructure Operations is accountable for overseeing the operation, physical security, and maintenance of data centre and campus IT infrastructures. The Coordinator leads teams that specialize in supporting data centre technologies and network and telecommunications infrastructure, as well as after-hours client support. Data Centre Operations, Network Technician, and Telecom Administration teams report to the Coordinator.
The Coordinator, Data Centre & IT Infrastructure Operations is accountable for day-to-day departmental activities, including direct management of the team and material resources at all sites during regular business hours (Monday to Friday). The Coordinator performs day-to-day staffing and scheduling, develops and supports a healthy workplace, tracks risk and utilization metrics, and facilitates improvement initiatives and change management while operating within approved operational budgets and financial guidelines and controls.
Working closely with the Manager, IT Infrastructure & Operations, the Coordinator collaborates with peers across programs and external organizations to ensure seamless operations and sustained integrity, availability, and security of critical IT equipment.

Confirmation of hybrid work options available to you will be clarified upon hire and may be subject to change based on the duties required of your position. Successful candidates will be required to perform work within Ontario and must be available to work on location, as required.
NOTE: this role is required to be on-call, evenings and weekends on a rotational basis of one (1) week out of approximately every 16-19 weeks.

What Skills Are Needed
- Project management experience
- Experience managing Veeam Backups (job management, tape management, backup restore jobs)
- Advanced knowledge of data centre environmental infrastructure (HVAC, UPS, fire alarms and fire suppression systems, etc.)
- Experience monitoring data centre environmental conditions
- Vendor relations and management experience including participation in RFPs and managing quotes and invoices for emergency work (HVAC, UPS, etc.)
- Equipment lease management experience
- Experience with networking, telecommunications, storage, and compute systems
- Planning and executing action plans that deliver results and motivate individuals for greater performance excellence
- Strong business acumen
- Values-based leadership and a proven track record for developing and sustaining healthy work environments and effective teams while leading in a performance-driven culture
- Lead and drive system transformation

What You Will Bring with You
- Successful completion of a recognized baccalaureate degree in Computer Science or Computer Systems Technology, preferred*
- Related post-graduate education preferred
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in progressively more responsible leadership roles in a healthcare environment, preferably in an acute care academic teaching hospital
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in related field preferred, preferably in a high-volume computer support environment
- Fluent and computer literate with computer systems such as email and Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
*Consideration for an interview will be given to an education and prior experience assessment
