The NTS Technical Analyst is the subject matter expert responsible for the overall support, integration, and availability of the enterprise networks (data, voice, and wireless) including the planning, design, implementation, 3rd and 4th level support, incident escalation, and network management. The NTS Technical Analyst provides architecture recommendations for network devices and utilizes LHSC’s project management principles to lead and participate in project work related to the supporting infrastructures. This role maintains technical currency and analyzes new technologies to determine those that best meet the organization’s needs.

The Network and Telecom Services (NTS) team is responsible for all components of the core network infrastructures connecting all hospital sites within London, including affiliated medical centres and clinics, HMMS, data centres, and a regional hub for the Thames Valley hospitals. The network provides resources for patient care, voice telecommunications, wireless connectivity, business systems, departmental systems, and building control.

Qualifications

 

Ideal qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a two (2) year college diploma in Computer Systems, Network Administration or Cybersecurity
  • Minimum four (4) years recent, related experience
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security/Enterprise/Data Center preferred
  • Experience with:
    • Enterprise and data centre networking technologies
    • Network security solutions
    • Site-to-site and remote access VPNs
  • Advanced problem resolution and troubleshooting skills and aptitude
  • Advanced technical analytical skills and computer skills
  • Proficient project leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability in planning, designing and research development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to provide on-call support in a 24x7x365 environment
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s vision, purpose and values

Immunization Requirements

Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to: 

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis; 
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
