Job Description


Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator

As a member of our Facilities team, you support facilities and maintenance services through the organization of resources to ensure completion of preventative maintenance activities and work requests. As well as drive continuous improvement initiatives in the facilities and maintenance groups by optimizing resources, leveraging software tools, and refining the preventative maintenance program.

Responsibilities Include:

Facilities

  • Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities
  • Schedule and maintain Facilities Preventative Maintenance Program, including but not limited to, scheduling service contract providers to perform PMs and follow-up work
  • Ensure PM completion targets are met
  • Manage and build good working relationships with Facilities service contract providers
  • Coordinate unscheduled service as required
  • Monitor the effectiveness of all external and onsite contractors ensuring safe work practices and compliance with TMI protocols are met
  • Recommend continuous improvements to reduce cost, waste, and energy

Office Services

  • Support all renovations and furniture configuration
  • Maintain all office furniture and appliances

Manufacturing Maintenance

  • Schedule and maintain the Manufacturing Preventative Maintenance program by coordinating with Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Planning
  • Ensure PM completion targets are met
  • Manage and maintain maintenance spare part program
  • Support the organization of skilled trade workload through management of unplanned and project work orders
  • Drive continuous improvement in maintenance and manufacturing through lean initiatives

Health and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Ensure compliance with TMI’s health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure WHMIS labeling and MSDS requirements on maintenance products are in place
  • Recommend improvements on safety-related issues
  • Assist with fire safety planning through the coordination of scheduled inspections, sprinkler system testing, and documentation
  • Assist with the management of environmental compliance requirements
  • Ensure contractor and service provider compliance with external (e.g., WSIB) and TMI policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Diploma, degree, or trade certificate in a technical field, such as maintenance or engineering
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment working in maintenance or facilities
  • High level of integrity and reliability
  • Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record check
  • Ability to safely operate motorized equipment and lifting devices
  • Knowledge of WHMIS
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Intermediate experience in MS Office applications
  • Experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is an asset
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment (e.g., ISO Class 8)
