Renal Dialysis - VH
The Renal Care Program provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic renal failure for patients in Southwestern Ontario region (excluding Windsor/Essex). The Adam Linton Hemodialysis Unit has 35 stations and provides hemodialysis to both inpatient and outpatient populations.
Regular Part-Time
Rate of Pay: $39.07 per hour - $56.00 per hour
Qualifications
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers course: BLS-HCP(C)
- Two years recent acute medical or surgical nursing experience required
- One-year recent related Hemodialysis experience preferred
- Previous experience in Nephrology nursing preferred
- Previous experience in primary nursing an asset
- Demonstrated excellent clinical skills
- Demonstrated independence in clinical practice
- Demonstrates commitment to self-education (formal and informal)
- Previous experience in working as part of an interdisciplinary team preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills
- Effective conflict identification and resolution skills
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with Automated Clinical Systems
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Vision, Purpose, and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
