REGULAR PART-TIME PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
(Shifts: 8-hours, Days, 7day/week coverage, may be subject to change)
Reports to: Lead Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Manager
Job Duties
Performs duties, as required, in conjunction with the pharmacists and pharmacy leadership, for the efficient operat
ion of the pharmacy department.
Travel among sites is required on a regularly scheduled basis.
Job Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
Registered & Licensed with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
Minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience (including sterile compounding) and/or community pharmacy experience preferred
Previous experience with Cerner systems preferred
Ability to interact effectively with patients and other health care professionals
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail particularly in the areas of computer order entry, mathematical calculations, IV admixture, compounding, and prescription filling
Knowledge and experience with pharmacy ordering and inventory
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to change
Ability to work with minimal supervision and initiative to work independently as an effective team member
Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills
Demonstrated excellence in attendance
Basic computer skills in a “windows” environment
Proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox) or vaccination records and proof of 2 COVID-19 Vaccinations
Record for Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 12 months
