IT Device Operations

 

The Hardware Deployment Assistant, is responsible for configuration and installation of clinical and non-clinical desktop computers and hardware. Processing requests and work orders received from the Coordinator of Inventory and Procurement for ITS. Occasionally assisting Helpdesk with requests and workorders from Order desk or Helpdesk. 

 

The position also has a city-wide support role. Duties include front end support such as refreshing leased devices, troubleshooting device issues, large scale deployment support such as project deployment to assist the Helpdesk in times of upscale call volumes.

 

Temporary Full-time

 

Duration: 6 months                 

 

Rate of Pay: $24.70 - $30.87 per hour

 

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications

 
  • High school diploma
  • Successful completion of a Two (2) year College certificate or diploma in Computer Systems Technician preferred
  • Minimum (1) year recent, related experience 
  • Experience with hardware and software installation
  • Proficient knowledge of general hardware components, software applications, and networking tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health care specific computer applications
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated proficient problem resolution and troubleshooting skills and aptitude
  • Excellent customer service and interaction skills
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, record keeping, and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated effective communication (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and be resourceful
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
