OneChart Phase II - Clinical Documentation
The Digital Health Education Consultant supports medical staff and nurse practitioners in utilizing, standardizing and optimizing the use of technology. The position requires an understanding of adult education learning principles, current professional practice standards, the work environment, and information technology impact on providing and evaluating patient care. The Digital Health Education Consultant has advanced knowledge of the functions and application of clinical information systems.
This position is responsible to support the education of physicians who use clinical information systems through the development of curriculum and learning tools as well as providing education. This position will primarily provide educational support of the OneChart system and secondary support of other clinical systems. The Digital Health Education Consultant will have a high degree of initiative and personal creativity. The person will demonstrate integrity, be visionary, remove performance-blocking barriers, offer encouragement, motivate and coach others.
What we offer:
Rate of Pay: $46.79 - $58.48 per hour
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours a week
Status: Regular Full-time

Qualifications
- University degree in a health related discipline
- Master's degree preferred
- Three (3) to five (5) years' experience
- Experience working as a care provider in an acute care hospital
- Experience working with an electronic health record (Cerner preferred)
- Appreciation and understanding of the scopes of practice of various clinical roles
- Demonstrated experience in documentation and/or electronic health record systems implementation (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with adult learning and teaching principles (Preferred; e.g., working as a preceptor, instructor, or teaching others through skill development)
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose, and values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
