TEMPORARY PART-TIME SOCIAL WORKER – For approximately 1 year

Rate of Pay: $46.966 - $59.844

Job Duties
Position Available November 2026
0.6 FTE (3 days per week)
Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the successful candidate will provide social work services to patients and families throughout the continuum of their course of treatment and participate in responding to Patient Relations inquiries.
This position will require travel between the two sites of the Middlesex Hospital Alliance (MHA).
Essential Qualifications
Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox) and proof of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations
Must provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 12 months
Skills
Master’s degree in social work required.
Current registration and membership with the
Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
.
Minimum of three (3) years of hospital experience preferred.
Excellent assessment skills and comprehensive knowledge of community resources and services to support patient and family care needs.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as an active member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with
Cerner
computer system is considered an asset.
Demonstrated commitment to the principles of health promotion, wellness, and preventative medicine.
Demonstrated excellence in attendance.
Understanding and use of good body mechanics
