REGULAR PART-TIME HEALTH RECORDS CLERK
Health Records Department
Job Duties:
Answer all incoming phone calls and monitor department voicemail
Assembly, QA and scanning of charts
Complete Circle of Care Requests for Release of Information
Log incoming and outgoing Release of Information Requests
Scanning of Emergency Physician Billing Sheets
File Emergency, outpatient/clinic visits, as well as laboratory, radiology and ECG reports into the permanent chart
Electronically associate using profile tracking and physically combine inpatient and one day stay visits into permanent chart
Provide departments with charts upon request
Monitor misfiled folders, attempt to locate and log when necessary
Back up for patient registration (break and lunch)
General clerical support for the department and other tasks as required
Position available immediately
Job Qualifications:
Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox) and proof of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations
Must provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 12 months
Secondary School Diploma required
Graduate of a Medical Administrative Assistant program required or equivalent in job experience required
Computer skills in a “Windows” based environment, including Excel, Word, First Net and Access is an asset
Excellent interpersonal and customer service oriented communication skills
Self-directed and demonstrated organizational skills
Ability to work well in a busy environment
Must be well organized, able to prioritize workflow, work independently with attention to detail, work effectively in a team environment and have strong communication skills
