Clinical Pharmacists
The Pharmacist is responsible for the safe and effective use of medications for patients admitted to London Health Sciences Centre. In meeting this responsibility, the Pharmacist reviews and monitors drug therapy; interacts with patients, physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals to resolve drug related problems; and counsels and educates patients regarding drug therapy. Pharmacists also participate in the training and preceptorship of undergraduate and resident Pharmacist students. This position will have a clinical assignment of cardiovascular surgery.
Regular Part-Time
Rate of Pay: $55.43 per hour - $65.21 per hour
Hours of Work: 22.5 hours per week - No guarantee of hours
- Honours Baccalaureate Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD or equivalent academic credential from an accredited School of Pharmacy or successful completion of the International Pharmacy Graduate Program
- Registered as an 'A' Pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists and Professional Liability Insurance as prescribed by the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Hospital pharmacy residency certificate (ACPR) preferred
- Proficiency in Cerner PharmNet and Powerchart System
- Proficiency in Kroll Pharmacy Computer System
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Proficiency in Powerchart Oncology (Oncology Only)
- Proficiency in Applicable Standards of Practice
- Proficiency in NAPRA Professional Competencies
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSCs vision, purpose and values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
Immunization Requirements:
Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
- Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health?s current definition of being fully vaccinated
