Virtual Care Specialist - Virtual Care
The Virtual Care Specialist serves as the driving force behind the strategic integration and operational excellence of virtual care within our organization. Their objective is to position virtual care as a cornerstone of our patient-focused clinical support services, while ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for all users. This role also emphasizes the exploration and adoption of innovative virtual care applications, contributing to the organization's commitment to stay at the forefront of healthcare advancements.
The Virtual Care Specialist operates with a significant degree of autonomy, working closely with leadership for strategic alignment and guidance. The Virtual Care Specialist exercises judgment in making decisions, interpreting policies, and determining the best course of action.
As a subject matter expert, the Virtual Care Specialist is seen as an informal leader within the organization. They provide mentorship, guidance, and support to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with virtual care objectives. Their leadership extends to setting standards and best practices, driving initiatives, and leading training and development sessions for various stakeholders to foster an organizational culture that embraces and optimizes virtual care.
Status: Temporary Full-Time
Duration: 12 months
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
Rate of Pay: $38.15 - $47.69 per hour
Qualifications
- University Degree in Business Administration or health related field
- Masters or University + Designation preferred
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years' experience
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Vision, Purpose, and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
