Salary Range: $63.76 - $75.00 /hour

 


This role will evaluate current data collection and reporting processes and redesign operations as necessary to ensure accurate integration of clinical and financial data to further improve both quality and efficiency of reporting processes. This position will provide corporate leadership to the development and implementation of systems and processes with their expertise of HSFR including data standards, indicator definitions, performance and improvement opportunities, and will lead the submission of all statistical data to various stakeholders.

Priorities for this position will include analysis of the policy details of HSFR as well as the resulting financial and clinical impacts on operations, providing education to leaders, physicians and staff to improve and expand the knowledge base of HSFR and to ensure consistent understanding of the impact clinical and financial data has on funding.
This position will also provide leadership for all system accountabilities including all upstream and downstream system/interfaces.
Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree required in a business, accounting or finance
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
  • 5- yrs. experience in Health Care, specifically Finance and/or Quality & Decision Support
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
  • Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in and/or establishing inter-organizational financial/funding arrangements
  • Demonstrated experience supporting leadership teams/clients in understanding their funding and performance needs and support them in their understanding of the implications of the funding methodology they are working in, the importance of data integrity, creation and use of effective financial and statistical reporting tools to aid in decision making and holding key stakeholders accountable for inputs and performance in unique and complex funding arrangements
  • Demonstrated experience leading and/or establishing performance improvement initiatives to identify operational and financial performance improvements, supporting leaders in navigating this complex process of understanding their own operations, comparing to available peer benchmarking information, engagement of peers and other external stakeholders and the design of creative solutions to achieve performance improvement amongst many other competing priorities both of this leadership position but also of all leaders participating in the performance improvement process.
  • Experience supporting and reporting to various internal committee structures
  • Experience in a health care environment in Ontario
  • Experience with financial reporting applications
  • Self-directed and highly motivated with effective written and oral communication skills
  • Highly developed critical thinking skills including the ability to conceptualize and analyze problems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business plans and/or support leaders in the implementation of business plans
  • Ability to manage competing demands and meet challenging timelines
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal teams, peers and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated shared leadership, team development, collaboration and facilitation skills coupled with superior interpersonal, relationship and communication skills
  • Ability to exercise judgment on complex issues across a diverse environment
  • Advanced skills with computer related software including Microsoft Excel and the Oracle Financials
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development
Immunization Requirements
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
