The Clinical ITS Solutions team falls within the Information Technology Services (ITS) department at LHSC. The Information Technology Services (ITS) team is dedicated to advancing the quality and safety of care through enabling digital technologies and innovation. The ITS team provides a full suite of digital health, virtual care and technology solutions to LHSC, St. Joseph's Healthcare London, and nine regional partner sites. The ITS team also supports Ontario's largest single regional Hospital Information System (HIS), branded OneChart, across eleven hospitals with over 2,500 beds. Further, the ITS team is also engaged with Ontario Health and the Ministry of Health to support population health management across the Ontario Health Teams (OHTs) in our region. Job Summary

 

Reporting to the Manager, Health Informatics and Business Operations, the Manager, Clinical ITS Solutions is a critical role within Health Informatics and sits within the Information Technology Services (ITS) program at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC). The Manager is responsible for overseeing the teams responsible for building and maintaining clinical solutions within our Electronic Health Record (also known as OneChart), as well as the associated procedures and standards required to uphold system integrity and adhere to IT governance and standards.

This role is responsible for assessing and providing guidance on requests pertaining to electronic documentation, the associated requirements, processes, and solutions used within OneChart. The successful candidate will bring a unique blend of health informatics knowledge, technical expertise, and leadership skills. This role includes day-to-day department activities, management of human and material resources, management of the department budget, staffing and scheduling, development and support of a healthy workplace, risk and utilization measurements, and facilitation of improvement initiatives and change management. The Manager fosters effective working relationships and networks both internal to ITS, as well as with external clinical, corporate, and technical subject matter experts across LHSC, our nine regional HIS partner organizations, and partnerships we have formed with the Canadian and Ontario Collaboratives of Oracle Health hospitals.

 

 

As LHSC continues to innovate in clinical care, research, and teaching, the Manager, Clinical Solutions will play a key role in ensuring the hospital's digital technologies and innovations are effectively managed and utilized across the complex IT domains and in alignment with the strategic direction of our HIS Cabinet. This role supports the current needs of the ITS department and positions LHSC for future growth and innovation in the rapidly evolving field of health informatics. The role aligns with LHSC's mission of shaping the future of health and contributes significantly to advancing the quality and safety of care through enabling digital technologies and innovation.

Confirmation of hybrid work options available to you will be clarified upon hire and may be subject to change based on the duties required of your position. Successful candidates will be required to perform work within Ontario and must be available to work on location, as required.

 

 

NOTE: This role is required to be on-call, evenings and weekends on a rotational basis of one (1) week out of every five (5) weeks.
