Specialized services include traumatic brain and acquired brain injury, spinal cord, stroke, movement disorders, mental and behavioural health.

The candidate will work across various programs at Parkwood Institute, St. Joseph?s Health Care London, supported by clinical psychologists and psychometrists to deliver timely access to care and treatment
The successful candidate will provide assessment and testing services for patients/clients under the supervision of the Psychologist. The Psychometrist will administer and score a wide range of psychological tests (diagnostic, personality, and cognitive), score the results, write reports, and provide feedback to clients on the results of assessments, as appropriate for unregulated practitioners and in consultation with the Psychologist. Participation in team activities, including meetings, conferences, and committees, is expected.



Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with basic and advanced training in psychometrics
• Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
• Demonstrated experience in administration and scoring of a variety of psychometric instruments and preparing assessment reports
• Demonstrated computer experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining rapport with patients
• Must be capable of establishing positive interpersonal relationships and able to work as an effective team member
• Demonstrated experience using a patient-centered approach
• Self directed and self motivated to accomplish specified outcomes
• Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice Evidence of continued professional growth and development
• Knowledge of Mental Health Act and associated legislation
• Capable of establishing and maintaining therapeutic relationships

• Proficiency in French would be an asset
• Experience working within rehabilitation and mental health service sector
• Experience with outcome measures, data base maintenance, and research
• Understanding of recovery and psycho social principles
• Report writing
• Research skills, including database management, data collection and analysis
