Salary Range: $69.46 - $81.71 /hour


The Breast Care Centre provides women in London and the surrounding area with comprehensive breast health services, including screening, assessment, surgical treatment, and wellness clinics. Care is delivered through an interdisciplinary, client-centered approach.

The NP/CNS will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based, coordinated care to breast patients throughout the continuum of care. This role includes direct, specialized clinical care, consultation, and leadership within the Breast Care Centre. The NP/CNS will also contribute to program development, quality improvement, and research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and promote best practices.

Essential Qualifications

•Current and good standing registration in the Extended Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario; successful completion of either a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner program.
•Master of Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing degree (MScN or MN)
•Minimum three years of recent clinical experience in an oncology or surgical health care setting, including two years working with breast patients throughout the care continuum.
•Experience with the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) and proficiency in using the BI-RADS (Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System).
•Strong understanding of breast cancer pathology and related treatment pathways.
•Advanced knowledge and skills relating to the assessment, management, and evaluation of treatment plans for breast patient populations.
•Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team.
•Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records; experience with EMR systems is an asset.
•Superior interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills to effectively work within clinic settings.
•Membership in RNAO, NPAO, and CNPS with professional liability insurance.
•Competent in Clinical Breast Exam (CBE).
•Experience in collaborative and independent research.

Preferred Qualifications
•Proficiency in French would be an asset

Key Responsibilities

•Perform assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health education/counseling, and other clinical activities in accordance with CNO standards for NPs and relevant legislation.
•Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as required.
•Manage post-operative care and collaborate closely with surgeons and radiologists.
•Perform Clinical Breast Exams and provide comprehensive follow-up care.
•Maintain accurate clinical documentation per professional standards and organizational policy.
•Participate in health promotion/disease prevention programs, team meetings, and committee work.
•Collect and analyze data, contribute to research, and implement quality improvement initiatives.
•Work from a Social Determinants of Health perspective to improve outcomes and reduce health inequities.

Immunization Requirements

•Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
•Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
