UH ECG 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Cardiac Non-Invasive & Outpatient Services Department, the ECG Technician is required to perform adult and pediatric electrocardiogram (ECGs), Holter Monitors, Stress Testing, and Telemetry hookup. This position will also include rotation in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Clinics and Pediatric Cardiology Clinics. The Department offers a wide range of diagnostic Cardiology procedures for inpatients and outpatient in both Adult and Pediatric populations.

Regular Part-Time

Hours of work:         22.5 hours per week

Rate of Pay:             $32.59 per hour - $37.26 per hour

Qualifications

 
  • Registered Technologist with Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologist (OSCT) or equivalent

  • Successful completion of a Cardiovascular Technology program

  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course:  BLS-HCP(C)

  • Minimum one (1) year of previous related experience

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Internet Explorer, GroupWise and Cardiac Information Databases

  • Ability to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment

  • Physically fit and able to perform duties required in this fast-paced position

  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care

  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC

  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values

  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
