Job Description
Hours: Up to 24 hours per week for the Winter term starting January 6th, 2025 and ending June 20th, 2025
Hybrid Work: These positions require on-site presence and are not subject to hybrid work.
Note: These are part-time temporary Support positions starting January 6th, 2025 and ending June 20th, 2025.
Duties: Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Public Safety, the Part-time Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Technologists will assist faculty and students in the advanced care paramedic labs with learning activities within the Advanced Care Paramedic program. The ACP Technologists will assist with the following duties, but not limited to: facilitating medical simulations using standardized skill sheets, checklist data entry and evaluation, skill station set-up and tear-down and ensures all health and safety control standards are met.
Qualifications
- Certified in good standing with aligned Base Hospital as an Advanced Care Paramedic
- Actively employed Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) with minimum 2 years full-time equivalent experience working at the ACP level
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
- A strong commitment to student engagement and success
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of people from different backgrounds
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Experience working with students in a professional learning environment would be considered an asset
