The Operational Stress Injury [OSI] Clinic is part of a larger network of clinics across Canada and is designed to provide specialized mental health services to eligible Veterans, members of the Canadian Armed Forces, the RCMP, and their family members. St. Joseph's Operational Stress Injury Clinic is responsible for service provision across a geographic region including Southwestern Ontario, the Greater Toronto Area and portions of Central Ontario. St. Joseph's OSI Clinic currently has satellite clinics in Toronto and Hamilton with staff working from these sites. This role will involve travel between sites.
The Manager utilizes clinical leadership skills to ensure quality patient care through planning, day to day operational management, and coordination of human and physical resources. Your proven leadership skills promote frontline accountability, innovation and the development of high performing teams. You are a self-directed individual with strong problem solving, communication and presentation skills. Your leadership style is recognized as harmonious with and reflective of the values of St. Joseph's Health Care.
You will work collaboratively with the OSI clinic leadership team, including Manager of the London site, Veterans Affairs Canada , and other key stakeholder groups in the development, implementation and evaluation of this clinic site as part of the National network of Operational Stress Injury Clinics.
Essential Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree in nursing or an allied health profession
- Valid registration as a regulated health professional with the associated professional College
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
- Previous clinical experience as a clinician with mental health population
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving along with exceptional facilitation and coaching skills
- Demonstrated superior communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated organizational and computer skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a wide range of professionals
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and promote shared leadership and interdisciplinary team collaboration
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in healthcare leadership and/or clinical specialty
- In addition, the successful candidate will possess strong Leadership Capabilities including: Lead Self; Engage Others; Achieve Results; Develop Coalition; System Transformation
- Demonstrated experience in program development and evaluation, project management and research
- Previous leadership in an ambulatory or mental health setting is an asset
- St Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties
- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (primary series, boosters and/or XBB) OR one dose of XBB vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
