Position Summary
The Assistant Customer Marketing Manager owns the planning and execution of national budtender sampling programs while supporting broader retail marketing, experiential activations, and education initiatives. Reporting to the Customer Marketing Manager, this role is accountable for end-to-end coordination of all sampling activities, including planning, logistics, sourcing, and post-sampling analysis. The position requires strong project ownership, organizational excellence, and a collaborative approach to bringing Organigram’s brands to life at retail.
The Assistant Customer Marketing Manager supports the planning and execution of retail marketing, experiential activations, and budtender education initiatives. Reporting to the Customer Marketing Manager, this role ensures the flawless delivery of campaign assets, retail programs, and event activations. The position requires excellent coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across Marketing, Sales, and Creative teams to bring Organigram’s brands to life in the retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign and Retail Activation Support
- Support the execution of national retail campaigns including 420, Summer of SHRED, Fall, and Holiday programs.
- Assist with POS and swag procurement, vendor coordination, and campaign logistics.
Experiential Marketing and Events
- Coordinate logistics for sampling programs, trade shows, and sponsored events (e.g., KIND, FIKAcon).
- Support event setup, materials preparation, and communication with vendors and field teams.
- Assist in tracking event performance and capturing key learnings for future activations.
Budtender Sampling and Education (Full Ownership)
- Own the full lifecycle of Organigram’s budtender national sampling program — from planning and product selection to execution and post-campaign reporting.
- Develop annual sampling calendars and manage cross-functional alignment with Sales, Operations, and Brand Planning.
- Coordinate logistics, inventory, shipping, and vendor management to ensure flawless delivery and compliance with regulations.
- Create toolkits, training scripts, and communication materials to support field teams and event staff.
- Collaborate with the Insights & Analytics team to analyze sampling performance and optimize future waves.
- Update and coordinate content for Spiffy/Nudge platforms and other educational touchpoints.
Creative and Process Collaboration
- Work closely with the Art Director (Customer Marketing) and their Creative team to brief, review, and proof campaign assets.
- Support coordination of creative revisions, compliance checks, and final asset distribution to stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed campaign calendars, trackers, and process documentation.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and report KPIs in collaboration with Insights & Analytics.
- Proactively identify areas to streamline processes and enhance campaign efficiency.
Key Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, trade marketing, or event coordination within CPG, cannabis, or related industries.
- Strong project management and coordination skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience supporting retail campaigns, brand activations, or experiential marketing events.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
