The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.  The Research Coordinator III will work closely with the principal investigators to oversee and lead the Baker Centre's research day to day activities and provide leadership and support to the team members. The successful applicant will be responsible for organizing and collaborating with the study team, collaboration and communicating with the London Health Sciences Foundation, REB submissions and correspondence, clinical trial start up duties, adherence to research protocols and ensuring studies are conducted accordingly; study enrolments and consent, data collection and entry.  The position requires the applicant to be able to prioritize and adapt to multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Rate of Pay:          $40.60 - $50.75 per hour

Hours of Work:     37.5 hours per week

Duration:              12-month contract, renewable

Qualifications

 
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary degree in Clinical Research, Health Sciences, Allied Health or related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years recent related experience in a similar role; preferably in a research environment 

  • Highly organized and able to prioritize completing tasks

  • Team oriented, self-aware and flexible to changing work priorities

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and team building skills

  • Proficient computer skills with experience working with REDCap and MS Office applications.

  • Knowledge of current regulations and guidelines for conducting clinical trials (ICH, GCP, TCPS and privacy legislation of PIPEDA, PHIPA)

  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency to prioritize workload with strong attention to detail

  • Responsible and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative when needed

  • Excellent organization, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
