Portering Dispatch
The Student Dispatch Clerk is responsible for receiving and dispatching service requests for the transport of patients, charts, specimens, documents, pharmacy items, equipment throughout the hospital.
Rate of Pay: $18.75 per hour
Duration: May 2025 - September 2025
Hours of work: Up to 22 hours per week

- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
Requirements
- Must have successfully completed a grade 12 education or equivalent
- Must be attending full-time education in September 2025
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work from the beginning of May until the end of August
- Must be available to work 24/7

- Copy of your Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Completion of grade 12 requirements at the time of application submission is required
- Proof of enrollment for attending full time education starting in September 2025 at an accredited University or Community College
- Three work-related references which must be Supervisors or Managers.
- If you do not have three work references, we will accept Teacher, Professor, or Volunteer supervisor references
- Immunizations Requirements:
Successful candidates will be required to complete a health review which includes providing vaccination records or proof of immunity against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (Chicken Pox).
In addition, candidates will need to provide documentation of a two-step Tuberculosis Skin test and proof of COVID vaccination as acceptable by the hospital prior to starting your employment with LHSC.
