Job Qualifications
- Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox) and proof of 2 COVID-19 Vaccinations
- Must provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 12 months
- Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current membership with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Membership in the Canadian Occupational Therapy Association preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in hand therapy and splinting in an acute care setting (preferred).
- Experience treating acute plastic and orthopedic hand conditions preferred
- Current BCLS registration
- Self-directed with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Committed team player
- Ability to plan and organize assigned caseload and specific treatment programs
- Able to assign tasks to other team members, as required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and public
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing and clinical education
- Develop a commitment to evidence-based practice and respond positively to change
- Basic Computer Skills in a Windows environment, including Outlook and Microsoft Word
- Demonstrated excellence in attendance
- Possess a valid Class G driver’s license
